How to prepare for a cocktail party

Making a Mojito

Ingredients:

10 fresh mint leaves

• 1/2 lime, cut into 4 wedges
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar, or to taste
• 1 cup ice
• 1 cup crushed ice
• 1 1/2 fluid ounces white rum
• 1/2 cup club soda

Mixology:

1. Put the four lime wedges into a glass, then add the sugar and muddle (squish everything together) to release the lime juice
2. Put the mint leaves on one hand and clap. This bruises the leaves and releases the aroma. Rub the mint leaves around the rim of the glass and drop them in. Use a muddler, bar spoon (or even a rolling pin) to gently push the mint down into the lime juice
3. Half fill the glass with crushed ice and pour in the Bacardi Carta Blanca. Stir the mix together until the sugar dissolves
4. Top up with crushed ice, a splash of the soda water and garnish it with a sprig of mint

Prep the snacks

Making food can seem hard but quick appetizers are easier to make than you may think…and less expensive than ordering out. Choose recipes that are quick with just a few ingredients to keep the cost and workload low. Make homemade fries, crostini with dip, or cheese and crackers. You can also appeal to those with a sweet tooth by making homemade cookies, fudge, or putting out an ice cream bar. If you’re feeling creative you can make homemade ice cream sandwiches. Yummy! Don’t worry it’s easier than you might think.

All you have to do is put one scoop of ice cream between two white chocolate chip cookies and your sandwich is finished. Nice and easy!

Dress up for the night

Party preparations does not necessarily mean exhaustion. Of course there is a extra effort all to be put together, but in fact above tips will surely save you some time and you will be able to take care of your looks.
